A proactive tip in maintaining your carpet is to purchase a high quality grade of carpet in the beginning. As the saying goes, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. High quality carpets like Stainmaster carpets will wear longer and better. The more durable the construction and fibers the less problems you'll have with maintenance. It does means that you can eliminate carpet maintenance altogether, but the enhance quality will make the task easier and more gratifying.
