What are the best Pre-finished Hardwood Floors?
There are many types of species of Pre-finished Hardwood Floors. Take for instance
the above pictured Acacia wood, Milan series. This is a five inch wide, slightly distressed
engineered Pre-finished Hardwood floor that has cross directionally laminated veneers of hardwoods.
These plies are pressure adhered together with the top layer being acacia species.
Acacia wood is extremely hard and durable. The multi-faceted array of light to
dark appearance makes for a rustic and beautiful Pre-finished Hardwood floor.
Oak Pre-finished Hardwood Floors are a durable
selection.
As you see here our installers are installing a three inch
engineered Oak Pre-finished Hard wood floor.
It is very important to “blue tape” the slats of the wood to insure a
secure installation so that there is no uneven spreading of the wood before it dries.
Our installers work to get it right every time. This room was once full of furniture,
accessories and quarter round around the perimeter of the room. The installers
carefully and skillfully remove all old wood and quarter round and prepare the floor;
checking for dips in the subfloor and other imperfections. As you see their experienced
efforts make for a beautiful completed job of a Pre-finished engineered Hardwood floor!
Other species of Pre-finished Hardwood floors include maple, hickory, birch, and many exotics.’
There are many variations of imported woods from trees all over the world. The main
concern when choosing a Pre-finished Hardwood Floor is to decide the amount of
hardness and durability needed. A Walnut wood is beautiful but not a very hard wood.
The hardest woods are acacia, hickory and oak and maples. There are other variables such
as the formality of the room you are putting your new Pre-Finished Hardwood floors. Some woods lend themselves to more casual design because they look more rustic.
